STRØM began in the Spring of 2017, at a cozy birthday party in Antwerp — the kind with good friends and laughte.
Between bites and conversation, Nico, Charly, Simon, and Kristof shared a vision: to create a clothing brand built on high-quality textiles and minimal, recognizable icon designs.
The path from that night to the first collection was anything but smooth — more like a slow and steady crawl than a sprint. Yet, just like the snail that finally reached the ark on the Schelde, the idea took shape.
The name STRØM became a nod to Antwerp — “de Stad aan de Stroom” — and to the timeless balance of Scandinavian minimalism that continues to inspire us today.
The textile industry has a long history of tense relationships with both people and planet. That’s why STRØM was built on the idea that good design should never come at a cost to either.
We work with trusted manufacturers who respect environmental and labor standards in the strictest way. Every piece is made from organic cotton and recycled polyester, blending durability with responsibility.
Organic means the cotton follows its natural rhythm — grown without harmful chemicals, in full respect of the ecosystem. Our production process is internationally certified by:
GOTS: Global Organic Textile Standard
OCS: Organic Blended Content Standard
GRS: Global Recycled Standard
We also comply with the Fair Wear Trade Label, guaranteeing safe and fair labor conditions.
Each T-shirt, sweater, and hoodie reflects our belief in slow, meaningful design — made to last, to feel good, and to do good.
We take pride in using high-quality materials like 100% organic cotton and recycled polyester because we believe in fashion that makes you look and feel good, while also taking care of our planet.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond fabrics — we use recyclable packaging and implement environmentally friendly practices at every step of our production process.
It’s a continuous journey toward better choices, thoughtful design, and clothing that carries purpose in every thread.
From the beginning, STRØM has believed that design carries responsibility.
We actively support causes that make a genuine difference — both locally and globally.
Over the years, we’ve contributed to:
Right to Play, empowering children through sport and education.
Plastic Soup Foundation, raising awareness and action against ocean pollution.
Make-A-Wish, helping turn dreams into moments of joy for children facing critical illness.
WWF Collaboration, a special project that celebrated six endangered animal species through a unique T-shirt collection — giving design a voice for the planet’s most vulnerable wildlife.
These collaborations remind us that creativity can carry weight — that fashion can both inspire and contribute.
It’s our way of keeping the current flowing in the right direction.
